Lopez to Lauer: “Matt, I'm Going to Kill You”

It was an East End showdown—of sorts—when Water Mill residents Matt Lauer and Jennifer Lopez sat face-to-face on the Today Show and talk turned to JLo’s split with Marc Anthony.

Topics from American Idol to her continuing to work with her ex-husband to her kids seemed okay, but Lauer couldn’t pry any more out of Lopez than she said in a Vanity Fair magazine story the host referenced—a bit to her chagrin—regarding the split itself.

“Matt, I’m going to kill you right now,” Lopez said, mostly joking. “Everything I wanted to say about the divorce I said in that article, and Marc and I agreed we weren’t going to talk about it publicly again because it really is our personal life.”
