Rick Palin, Photographer, Is Opening "Boatyard Project" Tonight In Sag Harbor

Photographer Rick Palin, who is a well known photographer on the East End and in Manahattan, is showing his work at the Monika Olko Art Gallery tonight in Sag Harbor for an opening reception at 6 p.m.
“They are large format archival pigment prints of the underbellies of old boats throughout Long Island and the New York area. A lot of people are really attracted to them out here in Sag Harbor. There is an unexpected beauty to the boats.”
Rick, who lives in Manhattan and grew up in Montreal, has been selling his photographs for over 25 years, where he sold his work in SOHO and then worked in the advertising business. Rick sails his 1979 Bristol ’32 foot sailboat in Sag Harbor in the summer time. “Boats are a passion of mine.”
In general, Rick is a pretty cool guy, donning black rimmed circular glasses and enjoying a slice of pizza from Conca D’Oro’s in Sag Harbor before the show tonight. I’ve checked out some of his work, and if you’re into boats, you’ll love these pictures.
The show is tonight at the Monika Olko Art Gallery in Sag Harbor, located on 95 Main Street, In Sag Harbor. I’ll see you there.
