Hamptons Restaurant Buzz: Nobu Is Back
Nobu, the upscale Japanese restaurant chain co-owned by Robert De Niro, is returning to Southampton for another summer season.
Located in the newly renovated Capri hotel in Southampton, Nobu is unlike a traditional Japanese restaurant. Here, acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa challenges his guests to go outside the traditional Japanese-American cuisine with “family-style” global cuisine sensations such as their famous Alaskan black cod fillet marinated, broiled and glazed in a Den Miso sauce, or their blue fin Toro tar-tar with Siberian caviar from Uruguay served with wasabi soy sauce. Guests are encouraged to order several hot and cold signature dishes concentrating on opening and cleansing the palate.
Along with an exquisite selection of elegant cuisine, Nobu also provides their costumers with signature sake martinis and refreshing summery drinks.
Nobu in Southampton captures the elegance of Richie Notar’s original Nobu in New York with indoor and outdoor seating, an outdoor bar and new dishes for the beach season, making it a go-to Hampton eatery.
Nobu, 281 County Road 39, Southampton, is open Thursday-Sunday in May and June and will continue to open 6 days per week starting in July, only serving lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and will not be taking reservations for the summer.
