I have been asked, using my vast experience for the past 52 years with Dan’s Papers, to give you the very favorite things I enjoy out here. Don’t tell anybody about any of them. This is just for you.
This is the absolutely adorable white shingle cottage on the north side of Main Street, Amagansett. It is a perfect example of a colonial saltbox built in the 18th century. Actually it is not an example of it. It is a colonial saltbox built in the 18th century. The house was for years and years occupied by Amelia, and her husband, after she died he said he missed her very much. Thus the name, Missing Amelia, which soon got shortened to just Miss Amelia.
