Nora Ephron Passes Away

Acclaimed screenwriter and author Nora Ephron, who had a home in East Hampton, passed away on Tuesday evening at New York Presbyterian Hospital after having been treated, the L.A. Times reports, for acute myeloid leukemia and pneumonia. The writer of numerous books, magazine pieces, plays and such hit films as When Harry Met Sally…, Sleepless in Seattle and Julie & Julia, Ephron was 71.
