Tall Ships Are Coming to Greenport

The annual Maritime Festival in Greenport will kick off on Thursday, September 20, with the arrival of tall ships including the USCG Barque EAGLE, Lynx and Laylanta are expected to be sailing into Greenport around 2 p.m.

“We are inviting other boats who are interested to join this welcoming flotilla of the Zaida, USCG Auxiliary, Greenport and other local area boats to meet and escort these tall ships into Greenport,” a statement from Nadine King said. “The current plan is to all meet up by Bug Lighthouse around 1:15–2 p.m. weather and tide permitting and form a flotilla. It will be quite a show.”
