Barbara Walters Names 10 Most Fascinating People
Renowned Hamptons TV journalist Barbara Walters revealed seven of her top 10 most fascinating people last week.
According to ABC News, which announced the selections last Tuesday, Walters has so far named actor Ben Affleck, British boy band sensation One Direction, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Olympic gymnast and gold medalist Gabby Douglas, “Family Guy” creator and 2013 Oscars host Seth MacFarlane and EL James, author of Fifty Shades of Grey.
The eclectic mix, and three more as-yet-unnamed selections, will be interviewed as part of Walters‘ 20th annual special “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year.” The 90-minute ABC program will air on Wednesday, December 12 at 9:30 p.m.
The number one most fascinating person of the year will be announced on the program.
Walters has chosen a wide range of personalities for the honor over the last 20 years. Last year she chose late tech guru and former Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Other standouts from years past include, Hamptons heiress Paris Hilton, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, Camilla Park Bowles, Laura Bush, General Tommy Franks, Colin Powell, Hamptons visitor and former president Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela and Dan Rattiner.
OK, she never actually chose Nelson Mandela. That’s just crazy talk.
