It was a record-breaking voter turnout for this year’s Dan’s Papers Best of the Best competition as our readers selected their top businesses on the East End. With the annual Dan’s Best of the Best party coming up (click here to read more and to get your tickets), it’s the perfect time to celebrate some of our big winners.
Hampton Delivery Services (HDS) is now in its sixth year of servicing the East End of Long Island. The company is owned and operated by David J. Gribin, a former Fed Ex driver and Bridgehampton Fire Department member. David started HDS in 2004 as an answer to the problem of no local street delivery of mail in the Bridgehampton area, and HDS soon became a wide ranging, multi-item delivery service. Now HDS has officially expanded from a delivery service (packages, mail, purchases, legal documents, etc.) to a full-blown support service for year-round and resort communities of the East End.
David has found that being willing to take on whatever task is at hand has helped him establish the kind of reputation he wants – that of a “can do” guy. Whether it’s delivering goodie bags full of Corcoran Group hats, pens and other treats to Guild Hall and the Hampton Classic, transporting a dog from Connecticut to Sag Harbor for training, photographing properties for local realtors, organizing a guest house and storage area for a local landlord or braving the July 4th traffic to drive customers to JFK, David Gribin gets the job done. He’s taken care of expensive, one-of-a-kind sports cars for owners who want their “weekend vehicles” clean, gassed up and ready to go for Friday night and he’s delivered sensitive legal documents to Manhattan with his same-day-service special guarantee.
