Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen Rock for Hurricane Relief
Sag Harbor resident Billy Joel and singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen will join together tonight for a special one-hour Hurricane Sandy relief concert at NBC’s Rockefeller Plaza studios in Manhattan tonight.
The musicians are from locations hit hardest by the storm—Long Island and New Jersey—and proceeds will go to the American Red Cross relief efforts. “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together,” hosted by Hamptons resident and “Today Show” host Matt Lauer is not open to the public, but will air at 8 p.m. on numerous channels, including NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, USA, E! and Bravo. The concert will also stream live on NBC.com and can be heard on E Street Radio, channel 20 on SiriusXM satellite radio.
Hamptons resident Jon Bon Jovi and hit makers Sting and Christina Aguilera will also join The Boss and the Piano Man for this special event.
