11/08/2012
Following Superstorm Sandy, Long Island Restaurant Week has been extended another seven days—or more (details to come)—at many of its participating restaurants. Originally scheduled for Sunday, November 4 to Sunday, November 11, the bi-annual event offers three-course prix fixe meals for $24.95 at dozens of the Island’s finest dining establishments. On the East End, restaurants continuing the promotion include Touch of Venice in Cutchogue; 1 North Steakhouse, Cowfish and Rumba in Hampton Bays; Villa Sorrento in St. James; and Bistro 72 and Outerbanks in Riverhead. The event was started in November 2006 and an additional spring Restaurant Week was launched in April of 2011.
