NYS Parks Dept Offers Cyber Monday Discount on Empire Passport

Until 11:59 p.m. on Cyber Monday, November 26, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites is offering a $25 discount online for its Empire Passport, which allows unlimited year-round vehicle access to all New York State parks.

This 2013 passport, valid now through April 2014, is available for $40 instead of the usual $65 at the NYS Parks website. Individuals may purchase as many as three passports at the discounted rate, and they are transferable if you want to give them as gifts.

The East End is home to Orient Beach State Park on the North Fork and six state parks in Montauk, including Montauk State Park, Hither Hills, Montauk Downs, Camp Hero, Montauk Point and Shadmoor, on the South Fork.
