A Quick Sale for George Stephanopoulos
Good Morning America co-anchor and ABC News chief political correspondent, George Stephanopoulos, and his wife, Alexandra Wentworth, have sold their East Hampton home. The couple paid $3.5 million for the 1890s shingle-style house on Dunemere Lane three years ago. With a new asking price of $5.5 million, the property was on the market for only a month before closing at $5.13 million.
Along with its prime location, the estate boasts a beautifully landscaped property, approximately 4,100-square-foot main house, separate guest house, stone terraces, chef’s kitchen, detatched two-car garage and a 60-foot heated gunite pool. Francis Fleetwood designed an addition in 1993 and the house was recently renovated by Form Architecture + Interiors. Well known interior designer Michael S. Smith added his magic to the inside, including a number of custom finishes.
