Amagansett resident Paul McCartney will receive a new career honor when his 1973 Wings album Band on the Run is inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame next year. Inducted songs and albums must be at least 25 years old and possess either “qualitative or historical significance.”
The record was Wings‘ third and most successful album. Band on the Run was voted onto Rolling Stone Magazine‘s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” and endures as a fan favorite among McCartney‘s post-Beatles recordings.
