4-Hour Chef Tim Ferriss on Debut Episode of "Meat Eater"
Springs native, 4-Hour Chef author and Internet Age guru Tim Ferriss will appear alongside chef and hunter Steve Rinella on the debut episode of MeatEater on the Sportsman Channel at 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 6.
Ferriss shared the news and four video promos for the show on his Experiments in Lifestyle Design blog on www.fourhourworkweek.com. “It chronicles a life-changing weeklong trip we took to remote Alaska, where we lived on the edge of a riverbank, hunting, foraging and defending camp from grizzly bears,” he explained.
Sounds like good TV. Unfortunately, the Sportsman Channel is not available on iO cable, so Optimum subscribers will have to watch it online or through iTunes months from now. The channel is available as part of a premium package on Verizon FIOS, DirectTV, Dish or ATT U-Verse.
“The cost for the package can range from an additional $5 a month up to $15 or so, but non-satellite cable providers like Comcast vary from market to market. Be sure to connect with them to get accurate pricing,” Ferriss advised, adding, “Worst-case scenario: you can always order and cancel the next day if you’re not happy, and your cable/satellite provider will usually fully credit the amount or prorate, which would end up costing you less than $1 for a day or two.”
