Bedell Cellars Inauguration Merlot Will Sell Out

A call to Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue revealed that the 2009 Merlot, which was served at President Obama’s Inaugural Luncheon on Monday, is practically sold out. But don’t fret, Long Island red wine lovers: The 2010 Merlot, which is a 30th anniversary vintage, is readily available from the North Fork winery.

President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and John Boehner were seated together at the inauguration luncheon, and the First Lady’s eye roll in the wake of a comment by Boehner has become a viral internet sensation.
