Beyonce's Life is But a Dream

Hamptons renter Beyonce made headlines when she apparently lip synched the National Anthem at Barack Obama‘s second inauguration celebration last week. She hasn’t admitted or denied it, but in a special 20/20 report called “Too Good to Be True” on ABC Friday, experts seemed pretty sure that the pop star did lip synch. How should fans feel about it? Was the superstar diva feeling too much pressure to deliver a pitch-perfect performance? What do you think? Tell us in the comments below.
Meanwhile, the pressure is continuing to mount as Beyonce‘s February 3 Superbowl halftime performance draws ever closer. Did she plan on lip synching there? What will she do now? We’ll have to wait and see.
Whatever happens at Superbowl, America will finally get a little more insight into Mrs. Z when HBO airs her film Life is But a Dream on Sunday, February 16. The revealing documentary takes a close look at Beyonce‘s daily life, her marriage to rapper and hip hop mogul Jay-Z, their travels and 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. This all-access doc is supposed to be an unprecedented view behind the scenes. In a recent GQ feature, Bey explains that she has thousands of hours of footage of herself, shot and compiled by her “visual director… who has shot practically her every waking moment, up to sixteen hours a day, since 2005.”
The GQ piece also notes that along with selling 75 million records, Beyonce just signed a $50 million endorsement deal with Pepsi, which will include her face on soda cans, and she will begin a world tour soon to promote her fifth solo album, which is currently untitled and could be released as early as April.
