Hamptons Surfers Bring ARF Dogs from Rincón

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) announced the arrival of two dogs rescued from Rincón, Puerto Rico on Friday, January 25. Working with rescue partner Animal Rescue Foundation of Rincón (known as ARF Rincón ) and two local surfers, the dogs arrived safely at the Adoption Center on Thursday, January 24.
For the second year in a row, John Robertson and his friend Brian Powell offered to help transport these special dogs on their way back home to East Hampton from vacation in Rincón. The young men were familiar with both ARF Rincón and ARF of the Hamptons and agreed to fly to New York with the small dogs—Nadia, a two-year-old male Chihuahua mix, and Pepé, a four-month-old Lab mix—and deliver them to the ARF Adoption Center. These dogs need to be medically cleared by the ARF veterinarian before being put up for adoption.
