Jennifer Lopez and Lindsay Lohan Among Yahoo's Most Searched in 2012

Yahoo may not be the most popular search engine of 2012, but its users sure know the best people to search. The site named Water Mill idol, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez tenth among its “Top 10 Searches” of 2012. Yahoo said JLo first appeared on its Top 10 Searches in 2002 and she returned to the Top 10 in 2011 when she joined the judges panel on Fox hit American Idol that year.

Lopez found her way back to the Top 10 in 2012 after releasing her best-of album and starting her first headlining tour. The eventually-confirmed rumors that she was leaving the cast American Idol and her on-again-off-again marital troubles with hubby Marc Anthony probably didn’t hurt the pop star’s search ratings either.

Yahoo also noted that Lopez‘s former show, American Idol, landed among the Top 10 Searches seven times in the last 10 years, though 2012 was not among them.

Occasional Hamptons party guest Lindsay Lohan also made Yahoo‘s Top 10 Searches list at number nine. The young actress had a difficult year plagued by arrests and court dates, but she also took a guest role on TV’s Glee, portrayed icon Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime‘s TV movie Liz & Dick and posed for a spread in Playboy magazine.
