15,000 Sharks Spotted Migrating North—But Don't Worry
15,000 sharks were spotted in Florida no more than a few hundred feet off the shoreline, according to Yahoo.com yesterday. The sharks were migrating north, but you don’t have to worry, they aren’t heading to the Hamptons.
It is a reality check, however, when you think about how many sharks are out there. With a lot of the snowbirds from the Hamptons still down in Palm Beach enjoying the winter before they head back to their summer homes, it’s refreshing for them to know that in the Hamptons, there has never been a report of 15,000 sharks in the water right off the coast.
Out here on the East End, on any given day, at most there are only 1,000 or so swimming around off of the beach…
