Alec Baldwin Interviews NFL Star Andrew Luck

On Monday, Amagansett actor Alec Baldwin released his latest Here’s the Thing podcast interview, featuring Andrew Luck, the number one draft pick in the National Football League last year.
The two discuss football and Luck‘s replacing his hero Peyton Manning as quarterback on the Indianapolis Colts. The young athlete also reveals his thoughts about the challenges of going from studying architecture at Stanford to playing in the Pros. As Baldwin explains in his intro, “The hype on Luck was enormous, and many doubted that the Stanford graduate could live up to it. But Luck delivered, setting a new NFL record for most the passing yards by any rookie ever. Luck also led his team to 11 victories in a playoff birth. This was the team that won just two games the year before Luck arrived.”
Luck, whose father played in the NFL, had some sense of what to expect in the pros, but “even Luck acknowledges that his new teammates ‘are the apex of physical freaks.’ Life with the Indianapolis Colts was a whole new level of play for Andrew Luck.”
