Big Changes Rumored for "The View"

Faces may soon be changing on ABC’s The View. After South Fork resident Joy Behar announced her pending departure, it was speculated that Southampton’s Brooke Shields was in the running to replace her. Media outlets are now reporting that Elisabeth Hasselbeck will also be leaving, and that Bridgehampton’s Christie Brinkley is vying for her seat at the famous talk-show table.

The View co-creator Barbara Walters also announced this week that she would be retiring from television in May of 2014. It remain to be seen whether or not the daytime talk show will survive after her departure. The View was created in 1997 and has been one of the most popular programs in its category and a South O’ the Highway staple over the last 15 years.
