Paul McCartney and David Byrne to Play Bonnaroo
Amagansett rock legend Paul McCartney and Sag Harbor‘s resident Talking Head David Byrne (& St. Vincent) are both confirmed to perform at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee.
Now in its 12th year, the four-day event will attract some 80,000 campers on 700 acres of Tennessee farmland to enjoy 150 performances, including several dozen comedians, on more than 10 stages. Bonnaroo also features its own “mini film fest,” food and drink and the likelihood of “hugging a stranger by accident.” Along with the Hamptons greats, other standouts in the festival’s diverse and epic lineup include Billy Idol, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Wu-Tang Clan, Daniel Tosh, Bjork, “Weird Al” Yankovic and Mumford & Sons, to name just a few.
Tickets for the massive outdoor event went on sale last week, but they’re still available at the Bonnaroo website, bonnaroo.com, where you can find full lineup and festival details.
Bonnaroo is McCartney‘s only confirmed live show in the coming months. Any future performances will be listed on his website paulmccartney.com.
