Gwyneth Paltrow Named People's Most Beautiful Woman

Amagansett‘s Gwyneth Paltrow is giving neighbor Alec Baldwin a run for his money as the Hamptons‘ busiest star this month. Along with the release of her cookbook, It’s All Good, and upcoming blockbuster Iron Man 3—all the press that accompanies them—Paltrow has been named the “World’s Most Beautiful Woman” in People magazine’s latest issue.

Paltrow, who is also on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar this month, reportedly didn’t believe it was true when she heard the “beautiful” news, and pointed out that she is a 40-year-old mother of two. “I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me,” she told People, describing her reaction to landing the top spot. “I had to reread the email three times. I was like, ‘This can’t be true.” People calls her “a timeless beauty” and celebrates her as a gorgeous woman, both inside and out.

Paltrow‘s gal pal and fellow Hamptons visitor Beyonce was named People‘s Most Beautiful Woman in 2012. Before her, Water Mill‘s Jennifer Lopez wore the “Most Beautiful” crown in 2011. That’s three years running for Hamptons women!

Soon we’ll get to see how beautiful Paltrow looks in superhero armor when she fights alongside Tony Stark‘s Iron Man as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3, which opens Friday, May 3.
