Friday Night Flights at North Fork Tasting Room

An Evening of Latin Flair at Southampton Cultural Center
7 p.m.
25 Pond Lane, Southampton
An exciting evening of Spanish and Latin influenced classical music will be presented Friday at the Southampton Cultural Center. Works by Piazzolla, Milhaud and Rodrigo will be performed with professional polish and romantic passion by Stony Brook University doctoral candidates in performance. Dog Obedience Classes at ARF
9–11 a.m.
90 Daniels Hole Road, Wainscott
Dogs and their handlers will learn basic obedience using positive reinforcement techniques. Curriculum includes leash handling, let’s go, turning techniques, stay/stand, sit/stay, down/stay, come and leash pulling prevention exercises. Classes are held at the ARF Adoption Center Saturdays or Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. (Basic) and 10 a.m. (Intermediate) with instructor, Matthew Posnick. Five classes for $125. Basket Making with Polly Stark at Rogers Mansion

This class takes place over two sessions on Saturday, April 6 and Saturday, April 13. Improve and challenge your basketry skills while making a Smoky Oblong Twill Basket. Class size is limited to eight, so reserve early! Call the museum at 631-283-2494.

Meet Wild and Wonderful Reptiles & Amphibians with SOFO Museum

Great for kids! Many turtles, snakes, salamanders and toads live right in our own backyards. Crystal Possehl from the South Fork Natural History Museum introduces some native animals that may live just steps from your door. Meet the animals up-close, see some examples of what they eat and learn why they are not just interesting, but also important members of the local natural community.
The Heather Nikole Fitzgerald Scholarship Fundraiser at 230 Elm
6–10 p.m.
230 Elm Street, Southampton
There will be music, appetizers, a Chinese auction and a cash bar. $40 in advance $50 at the door. Call Karen MacWhinnie at 631-283-9160 to be placed on the $40 guest list or if you would like to like to donate any items to the Chinese auction. All proceeds help fund a scholarship in Heather’s honor, which will be given to a graduating senior from Hampton Bays High School who wishes to pursue special education.
Comedy Night at East Quogue Fire Department

This is the place to be if you like firemen, pasta and comedy! Pasta dinner served at 6:30 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m. Comedy Night has been a great success over the past two years and the laughs are endless. Throughout the Hamptons and North Fork
Hamptons Restaurant Week signups have already begun for the 11th annual campaign, which kicks off this week! From Sunday, April 7 through Sunday, April 14, participating restaurants offer three-course prix-fixe menus for $19.95 and/or $27.95 every night they’re open, except Saturday when deals may only be offered until 7 p.m.
