Saunders Expands To Shelter Island By Recruiting Top Broker Penelope Moore
Saunders & Associates announced today that Penelope Moore, Shelter Island’s top selling broker, has joined the firm as a Senior Vice President and will be operating out of Shelter Island.
Moore steps into her position at Saunders & Associates with a real estate career that spans 30 years, with loyal client relationships to support it. Moore is a resident of Shelter Island, where she had specialized in local real estate for Corcoran and was one of the top five percent of brokers company-wide.
As an enthusiast of fine arts, Moore began her career in entertainment and worked in the public relations department for the American Film Institute at the Kennedy Center, dabbled in talent relations at a notable Manhattan agency, and worked at the Screen Actors Guild for more than 10 years before redirecting her career to real estate in 1989. She combined her artistic sensibilities and turned her love of buildings, design and architecture into a career in commercial real estate running a successful midtown executive suite called Corporate Executive Offices. .
After visiting the tranquil Shelter Island in 1995, Moore was enamored by the area and quickly bought a home. Two years later, Moore began selling residential real estate on the island and became known for understanding the unique qualities inherent in the Shelter Island Market. She has since been honored as Rookie of the Year, as well as a top producer every year for her exceptional service and results. Most impressively, she has handled two transactions that were each the highest sale on Shelter Island in its history.
She is joining Saunders which had notable hires from 2012 include former Motown Promotion Director, Noel Love; real estate developer, investor and attorney Alan Schnurman, Krae Van Sickle, Chris Coleman and Vincent Horcasitas.
