Art Donovan Signs Steampunk Books in NYC

Southampton artist and designer Art Donovan is appearing at Book Expo America at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan today (Thursday, May 30). From 12–3 p.m., Donovan is in the Fox Chapel Publishing booth signing give-away posters for his latest book The Art of Steampunk-Second Edition, to be released July 1.

Donovan is one of the most important figures in the Steampunk art and design subculture. His first book, The Art of Steampunk was #1 on Amazon.com’s Pop Art Book category for 13 weeks and it—as well as a major exhibition Donovan curated in Oxford, England—helped define the Steampunk genre and bring it to the fore of pop culture.
