Celebrity Moms at CMEE Family Fair on Saturday
Hamptons celebrities were out in droves at Children’s Museum of the East End’s (CMEE) 5th Annual Family Fair Fundraiser in Bridgehampton on Saturday.
Famous moms and dads at the star-studded affair for kids, included White Collar star Tiffani Thiessen and actor husband Brady Smith, Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order SVU, Emmy-nominated 30 Rock comedian Jane Krakowski, Christa Miller of Cougar Town, comedian and actress Ali Wentworth and author and photographer Kelly Klein. Most of these women and a couple of their fellas—Peter Hermann (Hargitay’s husband), polo player Nick Manifold (Klein’s boyfriend) and George Stephanopoulos (Wentworth’s famous hubby)—served as honorary Co-Chairs for this year’s fair.
Nurse Jackie and The Sopranos star Edie Falco and Dana Klein & Mark Feuerstein were also named as honorary Co-Chairs.
Parents and children alike enjoyed the open house-style event, which offered a host of fun activities such as arts & crafts, games, music, entertainment, food trucks and more. This year’s theme, “Around the World,” set a travel tone and children were given passports upon arrival to collect stamps by completing activities at various internationally-inspired stations throughout the fair. Stamps were earned for sushi making, a sports challenge and an archeological dig, to name a few.
The Family Fair is CMEE’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and welcomes more than 800 guests each year. Proceeds support the museum’s year-round community programming, and enable CMEE to partner with local social service agencies to address important issues such as childhood obesity, limited access to early childhood education, low literacy levels and domestic violence, as well as services for children with special needs.
