Cupcake Club Authors Enjoy the Hamptons
10-year-old Carrie Berk and her mom, The New York Times best-selling author Sheryl Berk, who write The Cupcake Club book series together, recently moved to Southampton. Carrie has been reviewing cupcakes all over the Hamptons and will be at Super Saturday on July 27 with Camp Divalysscious.
Along with tasting cupcakes around Manhattan and the Metropolitain area, the mother-daughter duo has been enjoying the Hamptons in recent days—and they’ve chronicled all the fun on their Peace Love & Cupcakes: The Cupcake Club Facebook page. On July 7, Carrie stopped by BookHampton in Southampton and happily reported that the local shop stocks her books, then she ate some “great cupcakes” from Cupcakes by Michael in Hampton Bays with her pal Dawn Goldstein.
Rumor has it, the Berks will be having a book signing and cupcake party at Stevensons Toys in Southampton later this summer, so keep an eye out for more news and a firm date when it’s available!
Sheryl Berk is also coauthor of Soul Surfer with Bethany Hamilton and Rick Bundschuh, and has written many other books, including Wise Girl with Jamie-Lynn Sigler. She is the founding editor in chief of Life & Style Weekly and has contributed to numerous publications, including InStyle and Martha Stewart Living.
