Vered to Receive Hadassah Woman of the Year Award

Vered, co-owner of the Vered Gallery in East Hampton, has been nominated for the Pioneer Chapter of Hadassah Woman of the Year Award and will be honored  at a fundraiser luncheon on Monday, August 5.

Born and raised in Israel, Vered served in the country’s military before eventually moving to East Hampton, where she opened Vered Gallery in 1977. She and partner Janet Lehr have since grown the business into one of the Hamptons premier fine art galleries with a focus on 19th, 20th and 21st century art and photography. Vered Gallery’s clients include international private collectors and museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, LA County Museum of Art, Amon Carter Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, The J Paul Getty Museum, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australian National Gallery and Musee d’Orsay.

The August 3 event honoring Vered at Oceanbleu at the Bath and Tennis Hotel on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach will include a cocktail hour, three-course lunch catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs, a fashion show by WORTH, gift bag and a donation to Hadassah to benefit Hadassah Medical Organization. Boutiques, silent auction and raffle sales open at 10:30 a.m. and luncheon program runs from 12:30–3 p.m. Tickets are $140.
