In the Future, a Hyperloop to the Hamptons From New York City Is Possible
The proposed Hyperloop between San Francisco and Los Angeles that will carry people back and fourth between the two cities in about 30 minutes, is capturing the imaginations of the entire country. Elon Musk, the billionaire business mogul who co-founded Paypal, and owns Tesla and Space X (yes, he owns space ships, so you know this guy is the real deal) is a visionary who really needs to come out to the Hamptons and have a look at the traffic on the Long Island Expressway.
I think he’d have a vision. He’d envision a massive Hyperloop between Manhattan and the Hamptons that could get you here in 10 minutes. Think about it. You could leave your office on 5th Avenue, pop on the Hyperloop to Montauk, eat a lobster at Gosman’s, and be back in time for the latest episode of Breaking Bad. Sounds pretty sweet, doesn’t it?
I’d make a bet that if Elon Musk pulls off a Hyperloop system in California, then it will make its way to the East Coast, because if there is one place that really gets things done when it comes to solving transportation and traffic problems, it’s the Hamptons…
