L.A. Reid Puts His Hamptons House on the Market

L.A. Reid, CEO of Epic Records and former judge on The X-Factor, is selling his East Hampton home. The 7,000-square-foot house has 8 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, and sits on 3.3 acres. Reid paid $10 million for the property in 2006. It’s now listed for $18.995 million.

Reid is the guy who basically invented the careers of super stars Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Kanye West, Avril Lavigne, Paula Abdul, Usher, Pink, and Justin Bieber, just to name a few.

Sotheby’s agent Linda Haugevik has the listing, which describes the house as, “Meticulous and thoughtfully designed, with the finest finishes and materials used throughout,” noting that it offers a generous two-level master suite, 7 additional guest bedrooms including 5 en suite, open gourmet eat-in kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, formal living room, formal dining and den with fireplace. It has a finished lower level with gym and wine cellar, heated saltwater gunite pool, hartru tennis court and lush landscaping, including pond and spacious porches and decks for entertaining.
