Amy Zerner Unveiling New Designs at Bergdorf Goodman
On Friday, Springs resident, artist, designer and DansPapers.com blogger Amy Zerner announced two upcoming shows at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.
Zerner will be unveiling new designs from her “infinitely beautiful” couture at Bergdorf’s fourth-floor Evening Department on Thursday, November 14 and Friday, November 15 from 11–6 p.m. A show of her latest jewelry collection will follow on the fifth floor of Bergdorf Goodman on Saturday, November 16 from 2–5 p.m. Call the evening Department at 212-872-2863 and the Jewelry Department at 212-872-8901.
“I look forward to seeing you soon and to showing you my new creations,” Zerner said in her invitation, noting that she’d be offering luxurious one-of-a-kind caftans, jackets and separates featuring her intricate and unique fabric “paintings.”.
The couture evening wear includes many of the nuances Zerner has blogged about in recent months, including mixed prints and fabrics, notes of orientalism, and shimmering metallics. The line features a variety of shapes and approaches, from sleek and sexy body-hugging designs to flowing robes and more structured jackets to be worn over other clothes.
Her jewelry line uses symbols and icons from myth and the esoteric studies, along with powerful and beautiful stones, to make stunning adornments that have been worn in major magazines and by the likes of Rihanna and other stars.
Amy Zerner Couture is an “exclusive multi-thousand dollar fashion secret of the rich and famous,” according to her The Fusion of Art & Fashion style book, which notes that “legendary godesses,” including Oprah, Goldie Hawn, Shirley MacLaine, Martha Stewart and Elizabeth Taylor have all owned and worn her creations.
The designer’s “Amy Zerner’s Fashion Sense” blog runs every week here on DansPapers.com.
