Long Awaited Painters' Restaurant Re-opening Is Tuesday

After more than a year and a half of dormancy, Painters’ Restaurant in Brookhaven will open its doors Tuesday.
The popular dining establishment, bar and arts space was closed in May 2012 following a fire. In September, it was announced via the restaurant’s Facebook profile that it would reopen this fall, to the elation of many.
Now, the day has finally come. Painters’ will be open on Tuesday, and grand opening festivities are planned all weekend.
According to a Facebook invitation, the ’80s freestyle R&B band Somethin’ Fresh will perform at Painters’ Friday at 9:30 p.m. Then on Saturday, That 70’s Band will perform beginning at 9 p.m.
Painters’ mixed food with art and music to great effect. The tablecloths were brown paper, and children and adults alike enjoyed making drawings as they dined. The tables and booths were works of art themselves, and all of the paintings and mixed media art on the walls was for sale. The restaurant hosted exhibitions and the bar area was a destination for relaxing and enjoying live music by local talent.
Painters’ is located at 416 S Country Rd, Brookhaven, just east of Bellport Village.
