Molly Sims Plays Vicky the Sexy Cougar on CW's The Carrie Diaries
Water Mill supermodel Molly Sims has a recurring role on The Carrie Diaries, the CW network’s teen prequel to HBO’s Sex and the City. Sims plays Vicky, a bored housewife (and cougar) who begins a relationship with Carrie’s ex-boyfriend Sebastian (Austin Butler).
“I am so, so, so excited for [The Carrie Diaries] to finally come back after the summer hiatus because I’m guest starring in a select few episodes!” Sims shared on her website just before the show’s October 25 Season 2 premiere. “I don’t know about you all, but I love, love, loved Sex & the City. Sarah Jessica Parker turned Carrie Bradshaw into such an well-known and envied television character … (can we talk about those SHOES?!) … so I’m BE-yond thrilled to be a part of the show’s prequel.”
Appearing on the show’s November 8 and 15 episodes, Vicky goes after Sebastian pretty much right away. She asks the young hunk for “golf lessons” at the country club, which he declines. But the older beauty is persistent, complimenting his hands and noting she wants to have some fun with no strings attached. Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) dumped Sebastian at the end of the first season after learning he slept with her best friend Maggie (Katie Findlay) while they were on a break from their relationship. It turns out he was also expelled from his previous school for sleeping with a teacher, so Sebastian is no stranger to taming big cats.
Based on the novels The Carrie Diaries and Summer and the City by Candace Bushnell, The Carrie Diaries follows the 17-year-old Carrie Bradshaw through her troubles with love and the difficulties of being a teenager in Manhattan during the mid 1980s.
The Carrie Diaries airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
