Ninjas, Samurai Take Suffolk Theater Stage Saturday
There will be high flying martial arts and sword fights Saturday, November 9, in Riverhead, as Samurai Sword Soul performs at Suffolk Theater in a family-friendly event.
The ninjas and samurai show weaves action and feats of agility into an exciting plot, with drama as well as comedy routines, and audience participation.
Yoshi Amao and Yoshihisa Kuwayama founded Samurai Sword Soul in 2003. According to the theater company’s website, their sword technique integrates traditional Japanese sword fighting arts with a contemporary essence and their original artistry. They aim to spread bushido—the way of the samurai—and samurai virtue, rectitude, courage, benevolence, respect, honesty, honor and loyalty.
Admission for children is $15 in advance or $25 at the door. For adults, tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. Call 631-727-4343 or visit suffolktheater.com.
