Dial-a-Carol: Call This Number And a College Student Sings You a Christmas Song

For more than 50 years, the University of Illinois has had a unique Christmas tradition: Dial a Carol.

During finals week, residents of the university’s Snyder Hall volunteer to man phone lines and accept requests from callers all over the country. And the carolers may even sing in duets, groups and with instruments.

Last year they set a record, taking 4,328 calls. And with about 12 hours left for the 2013 Dial a Carol, they have already surpassed that record.

Call 217-332-1882 before 11 p.m. Eastern tonight to get your holiday carol. After that, you’ll have to wait till next year.
