Hoda Kotb to Make Music Video to Help Children with Cancer

For the year of 2014, Today “happy hour” co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford have each chosen a cause to Shine a Light on.

Kotb, a frequent visitor to the Hamptons, has decided to set her efforts toward helping children with cancer, working with St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“As a cancer survivor myself, I know what it feels like as a grown up and I know how difficult and what a struggle it is ,” Kotb said. “But what I can’t even fathom, even now, is what it feels like to be a kid, to be one of these little boys or little girls who’s struggling with this grown-up disease, something they shouldn’t have to deal with. And all you want to do is reach out and help and hug.”

Kotb’s plan to make a music video with these kids featuring an inspirational song kids about being brave, and screening the video at hospitals around the country.
