Saunders & Associates Hires Theresa Quigley

Theresa Quigley, who just finished her time as deputy supervisor of East Hampton Town, has joined Saunders & Associates as the real estate firm’s executive managing director and general counsel.
Quigley is a real estate and land use attorney who formerly worked for Farrell Fritz at the law firm’s Water Mill office. She is a former East Hampton Town attorney.
Quigley began her legal career in 1983 in New York City and returned to the East End in 1988. She has served as counsel to several real estate companiesand lenders, served on many local boards and has hosted and produced a local television program for many years. She and her husband, Tom, live in East Hampton and have five young adult children.
“I have worked on many transactions with Theresa and admire her ability to create consensus in difficult negotiations,” said Andrew Saunders, the president of Saunders & Associates. “Theresa is a proven deal-maker and her skill set and experience will assist our agents in moving their transactions forward.”
Quigley will serve as the manager of Saunders’ planned East Hampton’s office, which will break ground soon. During the office’s construction, she will split her time between Saunders’ Bridgehampton and Southampton offices.
Quigley’s duties will include working with Saunders’ agents in structuring transactions, assisting in negotiating deals, and advising on real estate legal matters including zoning and permitting. She will also assist Saunders in managing the operations of the firm.
Saunders & Associates celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2013, hired its 120th agent and transacted more than $1.1 billion in sales.
