Hampton Photo Arts Hosts Instagram Contest and Photography Show

Hampton Photo Arts and Framing in Bridgehampton says February is Instagram Month!

The local photography and art supply store/frame shop is holding an Instagram photo contest throughout the month of February. To enter, Instagram users need only to tag their favorite photos with #HPAcontest. At the end of February, the Hampton Photo Arts staff will select a contest winner, who will receive a framed copy of their winning photo, as well as an “art swag bag with all sorts of fun goodies inside!”

Adding to the Instagram fun, Hampton Photo Arts is also running specials on printing and “Insta-framing” your best squared photos from the popular app, in sizes 5 x 5 inches, 8 x 8 inches or 12 x 12 inches. The shop sells Insta-frames nationwide, and can quickly bring images to life, moving them from your phone to your wall. What could be cooler than arranging 20 Insta-framed pics in your office or media room? Imagine the possibilities!

In other news, applications are now available at Hampton Photo Arts for their 2014 Photo Exhibition Show: HPA/Overexposed, opening at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on Saturday, March 1. Last year’s HPA photo show was the store’s most well attended to date, and one of every three photographers sold work. Interested photographers may submit two pieces to hang in the exhibition, and applications are $40 each. Hampton Photo Arts notes that they have a limited number of spots available, so be sure to apply soon

The HPA/Overexposed opening reception is 5:30-11 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 and the show continues on Sunday March 2 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
