East Hampton Town Police: Two Copper Thieves Caught

East Hampton Town Police arrested two men Wednesday after a traffic stop and charged them with felony larceny related to copper gutters and copper leaders stolen from a residence in Amagansett.

Police said an officer stopped the vehicle on Further Lane in East Hampton at 2:06 a.m. and connected the driver and passenger to the earlier larceny on Oceanview Avenue, Amagansett.

Wiliam Lagarenne, 53, of Amagansett, and Freddie Parker, 40, of Bellport, were each charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree criminal mischief, all felonies.
