Montauk Train Schedule for St. Patrick's Day Parade—All Drinks Prohibited
The Long Island Rail Road is adding trains to its schedule on Sunday, March 23, to and from Montauk for the Montauk Friends of Erin Parade, which steps off at 11:30 a.m.—but don’t plan on bringing any drinks on the trains, whether they have alcohol in them or not.
“To ensure that all LIRR customers arrive safely in Montauk and return home safely later that day, no beverages of any kind will be allowed aboard Montauk trains,” the Metropolitan Transportation Authority states. “The MTA Police will strictly enforce this rule by confiscating all beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, opened or unopened, they find on trains.”
Two additional eastbound trains will depart Jamaica at 7:10 a.m.; and Babylon at 8:50 a.m. The regularly scheduled Montauk-bound trains will depart Jamaica at
8:10 a.m., 10:10 a.m. and 12:10 a.m.
A 1:31 p.m. from Montauk will take revelers home, in addition to the 3:30 p.m., 5:35 p.m. and 7:33 p.m. Montauk departures.
