Former U.S. President George W. Bush golfed with the USA Team Thursday at the National Golf Links of America during the opening practice round of the Walker Cup, a competition held every other year between amateur American golfers and golfers from Great Britain and Ireland.
The National Golf Links hosted the first Walker Cup in 1922. It was named for George Herbert Walker, who was the U.S. Golf Association president in 1920 and is the great-grandfather of George W. Bush.
