Alec Baldwin Turns 56 Today: Happy Birthday!

Amagansett resident Alec Baldwin turned 56 today, Thursday, April 3.

The local actor and philanthropist celebrated the end of another busy year, and the start of a new one, in New York City. The 30-Rock actor and his yoga instructor wife Hilaria Baldwin were photographed walking their two small dogs on Thursday morning and interacting with fans, including one older woman who kissed him on the cheek. Both Baldwin and his wife were all smiles.

Later, around noon, Hilaria posted her daily yoga pose on Instagram and Alec joined in, trying to touch his toes and proving he’s not quite as limber as his 30-year-old wife. On Wednesday night, Hilaria posted a shot of the two enjoying a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The Baldwins had a big year, which included the birth of their daughter Carmen Gabriela on August 23, 2013—the same day Alec was voted the Guild Hall board president. In November he donated $1 million to the new children’s addition of the East Hampton Library. Check out his entire 2013 year in review here.

More recently, the actor has announced plans to leave New York—hopefully to live a more quiet life in the Hamptons—following some difficult turns, which he described in The New Yorker magazine (read more about that here). The of-late-embattled star has done much for the Hamptons community and he’d be a welcome year-round addition here—even if he can’t touch his toes.
