Matt Lauer's Name Makes Cameo in 'Simpsons' Chalkboard Gag

If you blinked, you may have missed it this past Sunday, but that was Matt Lauer‘s name on Bart Simpson‘s chalkboard.

Lauer, the host of Today and a Water Mill resident, was the subject of a pun during the opening sequence of The Simpsons. “April showers do not bring Matt Lauers,” the chalkboard stated over and over.

However, when the episode was posted to Hulu on Monday, the chalkboard gag was different, instead stating “You can’t play April Fool’s jokes on April 27th.”

This comes on the heels of the news that Lauer will be in the upcoming Sharknado sequel.
