More Library Love for Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin’s love of libraries is no secret, and it extends beyond the borders of the East End. “Libraries are the cornerstone of a great community,” Baldwin said upon donating $1 million toward the new children’s addition at the East Hampton Library last fall. The latest literary beneficiary of his generosity is the Adams Memorial Library in Central Falls, Rhode Island—to which Baldwin donated a reported $5,000 to the library in 2012, a year after he gave them $10,000 in the wake of their temporarily closing amid the city’s financial troubles. Baldwin will reportedly take part in a fundraiser on June 7, where guests will have the chance to win a raffle and read dialogue with the actor.
