Jimmy Fallon Sings 'Happy Birthday' to Billy Joel at MSG Concert
Billy Joel‘s latest monthly concert at Madison Square Garden, held on Friday, coincided with the Piano Man’s 65th birthday, and a number of his Hamptons friends came out to help him celebrate.
Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, of Sagaponack, not only led the audience and his barbershop quartet in singing “Happy Birthday” to Joel, Fallon also sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Devout Tonight Show watchers—and devout fans of Joel—will remember that Joel and Fallon used a voice-looping iPad app in March to form a two-man doo-wop group and perform that song.
Other Hamptonites at the concert included Howard and Beth Stern. Among the additional celebrity guests were Judd Apatow, Trudie Styler, Sting and Paul Rudd.
