Dan's Taste of Summer Countdown: Dishing with Harlow East Chef Danny Ye

One of the hottest summer restaurant arrivals on the East End has been Harlow East, the Sag Harbor outpost of Richie Notar’s popular Midtown Manhattan spot. As we get closer to the season’s sizzling food-and-wine event—Dan’s Taste of Summer on July 11 and 12—Danny Ye, the executive chef of Harlow East, dishes on our local culinary culture, the moment he knew food was his passion, and what he’s looking forward to at Dan’s Taste of Two Forks.

This year the weekend comprising Taste of Two Forks and GrillHampton has been dubbed Dan’s Taste of Summer. What does the phrase “taste of summer” mean to you?

Dan’s Taste of Summer—held at Sayre Park, 156 Snake Hollow Road, Bridgehampton—kicks off with GrillHampton on Friday, July 11, from 8 p.m. to
11 p.m. General admission tickets are $120 (inclusive of all food and beverages). 

Dan’s Taste of Two Forks is Saturday, July 12. Taste of Two Forks VIP tickets are available for $240, including early admission from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; General admission tickets from 7:30 to 10 p.m. are available for $160 (inclusive of all food & beverage).
