Dottie Herman Co-Chairs New York Restoration Project Spring Picnic

Southampton resident and Douglas Elliman Real Estate President & CEO Dottie Herman served as a co-chair of the 13th annual New York Restoration Project Spring Picnic in Manhattan on Thursday.
Bette Midler founded NYRP, whose mission it is to beautify New York City’s five boroughs, 19 years ago.
The picnic took place at the Plaza at General Grant National Memorial in Riverside Park. Honorary co-chairs included Cynthia Nixon, Lisa Oz and Dr. Mehmet Oz and Amy Poehler. Comedian Judy Gold, serving as mistress of ceremonies and auctioneer, and Midler honored Ron Finley and Liz Smith.
Midler also singled out Herman, calling her, “The most extraordinary fundraiser in the history of the NYRP.”
Herman sold 10 tables with all proceeds going to the foundation.
Also in attendance was Bernadette Peters.
More than $1 million were raised at the event.
The picnic also launched the “Gardens for Great New Yorkers” garden adoption campaign.
