Hamptons Epicure: The East End Farmers Markets Are Open!

What’s in season? Asparagus, bamboo, eggs,  greens, leeks, meats,  most herbs, mushrooms, onions, peas, radishes, rhubarb and seafood. Tomatoes are around the corner, as are basil, eggplant, peppers…

Strawberries are here! Next up will be raspberries, blackberries and blueberries (to go with those sweet peaches!), followed by cherries. We close the summer berry season with beach plums just before Labor Day and head into—yum—the autumn raspberry crop.

The East End is now home to 15 weekly farmers markets. Our local farmers markets are seasonal, except for the Saturday Riverhead Farmers Market, which is open year-round. Below is a complete list of the East End farmers markets.
