Jimmy Buffett Performs on 'The Tonight Show,' Offers Drinking Advice
On Tuesday, North Haven’s Jimmy Buffett appeared on The Tonight Show, hosted by Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon, who introduced Buffett with his most recent album, Songs from St. Somewhere.
After Buffett walked across the stage in his iconic flip flops, Fallon asked, “Do you even own socks?”
Buffett simply replied, “Why would I?” Then he pulled out a signed pair of flip flops and handed them over to Fallon.
Buffett is also the owner of a restaurant chain called Margaritaville. The restaurants sell Buffett merchandise and are located throughout the United States and the Caribbean. No locations in the Hamptons, however, have opened yet.
Inspired by Buffett’s Margaritaville, Fallon asked Buffet if he only drinks margaritas. Buffett told Fallon that he did for a long time because everyone bought them for him for free. Now he chooses to drink tequila, with only a lime, to prevent getting a headache. Buffet suggested two options to prevent hangovers: pace yourself or, if you don’t, drink coconut water.
